OUR TEAM

Dean McHardy

Manager

Dean and his wife Joanne moved to Tangihau Station in late 1989 when Dean was just 26 years old. Tangihau has been a changing landscape since Dean arrived. When Dean first arrived, there were up to 18 staff members but that number has dropped to around 11 mainly due to the development of extensive laneways and metal roading enabling staff to transport horses by truck or float. During Dean’s time in management Tangihau has expanded geographically, with 3 neighbouring properties having been purchased since.

Ian Risseto

Livestock Agent

Ian originally started working for the Bayly Group as an agent for Williams and Kettle, based in Wairoa. In 1990, Ian became the branch livestock manager of Williams and Kettle and a few years later Ian became the stock agent for Tangihau. Now a Livestock agent for PGG Wrightson, Ian is an integral part of the team at Tangihau Angus.
